Newman Networks was started in April 2006 to solve a business issue of customers finding businesses that treat them well and are conveniently located in our neighborhoods. Now, we have found our niche - a distributed web-based application company that dramatically passes the cost savings to small businesses. You don’t have to have a million dollar budget for the greatest technology, you just have to “connect” to the right network!

It was one afternoon in early September, Nicole was in the local Chinese store getting her favorite - Singapore noodles. A street pharmacist walked up to her, sized up his next customer (by her hair and dress) and selected the marijuana product. She kindly said "No Thanks" and asked the young pharmacist "Do you go to church?" Of course, said the pharmacist and quoted verses from the Bible. Nicole, always looking for the next entrepreneur, said "I have a program for you". She went home printed the flyer for Project Great Potential and returned to the Chinese store. As she gave the pharmacist the information, she said" Are you special?". He said, "Yes I am. I am a child of God and God don't make no junk". The next day she followed up to make sure he enrolled in the program and gave him one of her favorite books - Purpose Driven Life. She did not hear from him again but saw him graduate from Project Great Potential in November 2007. It is sharing information that can change a street pharmacist to an entrepreneur!
Mind, Body and Spirit
One of my mentor's favorite lines is "It is not your job to do everything, success will be achieved by having a lot of people do a little bit and a lot gets done" I am asking you to do little bit by supporting the mission of Back On My Feet. Back on my feet teaches homeless people to get back on their feet through the discipline of running. The discipline of running shows that I appreciate my body and SIS fitness taught me the proper way to take care of it. It is through running that I have the energy to market your businesses on http://www.Diversephilly.com and ensure that your business is built on a solid foundation. Success is achieved through mind, body and spirit working together.
It is up to each one of use to learn how to take care of our bodies through the 5 pillars of fitness (nutrition, strength training, stretch, cardio training and proper rest) to change the statistics and decrease the rate of obesity which leads to a host of ailments (high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, death). These ailment negatively affect our community and our self-esteem. On Sunday, November 23rd 2008, my work out partner and I will be running the Philadelphia Half-Marathon to support the Back on My Feet non-profit organization. Our goal is to raise 3,000 dollars by have 600 people do a little bit and give a maximum donation of just 5.00. Please play your part and support our mission of changing the obesity statistics and showing women especially minority women that we can achieve any goals we set by taking care of our bodies.
